Patient Rights and Responsibilities

Medication Safety: Medication safety begins with patient identification. Controls are conducted for look-alike and sound-alike medications, drug-drug interactions, high-risk medications, adverse effects, medication errors, restricted antibiotics, and abbreviations.

Surgical Procedure / Surgery Safety: Surgical or procedural safety is ensured through the application of safe surgical control forms, including correct side, correct procedure, correct patient surgery, and safe anesthesia control.

Fall Prevention: Necessary precautions are taken. Fall risk assessments are conducted as part of the initial patient evaluation criteria. Fall risk is pre-assessed by the physician using an age-appropriate fall risk scale. Based on the assessment, necessary precautions are taken by nurses for patients with high fall risk. Continuous building/facility inspections are carried out to prevent hazards like wet floors or loose cables that could cause patients, relatives, or staff to fall.

Pain Management: For patients undergoing surgical procedures, pain is assessed upon initial arrival and periodically, considering the location, severity, frequency, nature of the pain, influencing factors, and the target pain level.

Infection Prevention: Infection control programs include hygienic hand washing, isolation methods, hospital cleanliness, waste management, sterilization and disinfection methods, and surgical prophylaxis practices, all of which are implemented to prevent hospital-acquired infections.

Confidentiality of Information - Privacy: Patients' medical information is kept confidential and is accessible only to healthcare professionals involved in the patient's treatment process.

Accuracy of Test Results: Necessary maintenance and calibration of our equipment are performed regularly to ensure accuracy in test results.

Effective and Adequate Communication - Information: All employees receive annual training on communication techniques. Patients can easily ask their questions to doctors, nurses, or front desk staff.
